Job Description

  • The transformation agenda requires the successful execution of significant strategic, operational and cultural agendas which will result in considerable change across our client’s business.
  • Transformation at covers processes across all business channels, commercial and people initiatives that go beyond day-to-day operations, which contribute directly to the strategy of growing value and driving profitability.
  • This involves improving cost efficiency, organisational effectiveness, employee experience, culture or ways of working, and creating avenues for growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex initiatives managing all activities in a project life-cycle such as initiation, planning, executing, controlling, and closing associated with projects that are long-term, line of business wide and medium to high risk, scope and complexity with broad impact.
  • Act as key participant in project plans and budgets for change management.
  • Review and initiate complex multi-business and support operations, organizational systems knowledge and navigation to anticipate change impacts.
  • Ensure full understanding of project impacts that translate into comprehensive engagement strategies. Make decisions in end to end project management, demonstrating ownership of the entire process from beginning to end while developing and implementing program and project level processes, procedures and performance metrics.
  • Demonstrate understanding of policy, methodology and artifact creation that influence and lead change management to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives.
  • Collaborate and consult with executive leadership, stakeholders, project leads, executive leadership, sponsors and business partners to clarify and define project requirements.
  • Managing and shaping the transformation portfolio, working closely with various teams (such as Strategy, Finance, Technology, HR, etc) and the respective business units in developing plans for implementation and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Developing and managing our Transformation Roadmap and engaging key stakeholders in the delivery of roadmap projects, activities and actions
  • Identify and intervene where additional capability is required.
  • Working across the project portfolio in response to changes in progress, strategic objectives, financial constraints, timelines, and changing organisational circumstances, managing complex issues though exemplary stakeholder management at the most senior levels.
  • Measuring and reporting business performance in a transparent manner, with clear accountability measures and benefits mapped against our strategic objectives.
  • Supporting major projects in meeting their objectives and providing confidence in their delivery.

Qualifications

  • 7 plus years as a titled Project Manager of business management ONLY [Not IT Project Managers or Digital transformation].
  • Significant experience held in a Transformation role, PMO function, or leading on complex projects. We’re open to varying industry experience, however, expect demonstrable experience in business and strategic project management where there are multiple agendas and at times conflicting priorities
  • You’ll have outstanding commercial acumen and be a strategic thinker who can translate strategies into practical implementation plans, with experience in working at a senior level.
  • Experience of shaping a strategic portfolio to develop an integrated plan, make recommendations, and ensure transparency across initiatives.
  • Experienced in managing performance reporting, administering oversight and executive level governance, and enabling external scrutiny of complex and large projects or change initiatives.
  • Ability to present solutions to problems quickly and efficiently with excellent project management, organisation and planning skills, with a proven track record working with corporate objectives and the balance of people and budgetary needs, and improving organisational effectiveness.
  • Experience of managing portfolio, projects or PMO with strong transformation knowledge and practices
  • Adept at managing and influencing numerous, diverse senior stakeholders, often operating under tight timescales and managing numerous priorities, from Executive, project sponsors and business leaders. Demonstrable experience of using influence to address blockers in portfolio plans.
